Think of what makes for a good number for a small group, and that's exactly what works best for an Encountering Muslims cohort - roughly 6-12 people.

Streaming instruction
Watch the lectures together in your meeting time or on your own beforehand. Audio files are also available for download.

Set your own timeline
While typical Encountering Muslims classes meet once a week for twelve weeks, cohorts range from 12 weeks to an extended year-long format. Choose the schedule that works best for your group.

Certificate
Cohorts include all the course's materials. Anyone who completes the course may earn a certificate.

Course assignments
You'll have weekly assignments, including textbook readings, video lectures, discussions with the cohort, 4 quizzes, and 1 final report. In addition, you'll meet with a Muslim and visit an Islamic center near you.

What's included?
All cohort members will receive a textbook and gain access to the virtual classroom, where they'll find videos, discussion forums, additional readings and resources, and all other course assignments.
